Better Surgical Results are in Your Hands™

Get your hands dirty and dig deeper into aesthetics, form, and function of human anatomy at this year’s pre-meeting workshop!

Join Dr. Peter Schmid, professional sculptor and aesthetic surgeon, as he presents his exclusive seminar, Sculpting for Surgeons, LLC™—a unique hands-on experience sculpting in clay, intensely studying the human form in order to analyze amorphisms and create balance and beauty. By connecting art with science, Dr. Schmid will explore the construction of the human body grounded in line, proportion, volume, and shape of human anatomy while working from a live female figurative model.

Didactic presentations and an interactive sculpting experience will provide perspectives that you will directly apply to patient analysis, cosmetic surgical planning, execution, and ongoing practices.

Highlights of this workshop include aesthetic structural anatomy, live professional model studies, comparative anatomy, functional anatomy as applied to form, lighting techniques, additive sculpting-in-clay techniques, and challenging one’s mind, hands, and eyes to reproduce the human form in clay elegantly, accurately, and harmoniously.
