Dr. Elda Fisher is an associate professor of surgery at Duke University. She specializes in facial aesthetic surgery and gender affirmation surgery. Dr. Fisher attended medical school and completed her surgical residency program at the University of North Carolina. Following residency training, she completed a fellowship in full-body and facial aesthetic surgery. Dr. Fisher is board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery though the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and in General Cosmetic Surgery through the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS). She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has lectured globally on facial aesthetic surgery, gender affirmation surgery, and corrective maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Fisher is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), Association of Women Surgeons, and World Professional Organization for Transgender Health. Prior to her current role as full-time faculty in the Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at Duke University, Dr. Fisher served as the program director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of North Carolina and as the Director of Facial Gender Affirmation Surgery where she maintains an adjunct appointment.

Additionally, she serves as faculty at hands-on courses in cosmetic surgery, craniomaxillofacial trauma surgery, and facial feminization surgery, and she lectures regularly to residents and practicing surgeons. Her research interest includes the role of orthognathic surgery as a component of gender affirmation surgery. Dr. Fisher is an expert in the field of facial gender affirmation surgery including facial feminization and masculinization surgery and has wide interdisciplinary and international recognition as a leader and innovator in this field.

Dr. Edward Zimmerman holds degrees from Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice (ABFP) and president of and examiner for the American Board of Laser Surgery (ABLS). Dr. Zimmerman has been a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine (ASLSM) since 1994 and an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) since 1998. He has served on the board of trustees for both the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation.

As an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Cosmetic Surgery at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Zimmerman is involved in direct patient care, medical research, writing, and education. Dr. Zimmerman directs Aesthetic Revolution Las Vegas, a state-licensed, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)-accredited, office-based surgical facility dedicated to the innovation, refinement, and delivery of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Additionally, he is a social media personality with a following of over 2.4 million.

This transformative experience inspired her to create Elements in the Desert, a sanctuary for healing and self-discovery. Through this platform, Susan has merged her decades of experience with a newfound focus on breathwork—a powerful modality that she believes is key to unlocking deep emotional and physical healing.

As a Breathwork Facilitator, Susan has developed a distinctive approach that sets her apart. She incorporates the use of silent headphones into her sessions, creating a uniquely personal and immersive experience that allows clients to journey inward without distraction.
